When my Dad retired 12 years ago, he moved to Marrakesh, Morocco, where he found amazing weather all year round, warm and welcoming people, delicious food and golf... I am very fortunate to visit him every year with the family. Marrakesh is just extraordinary as it's so close to the UK (3hr30 flight) and yet so different in terms of landscape, architecture, food, culture, and of course needless to say, weather.. Just stepping out of the plane, you are greeted by lovely people with a large grin on their faces.

I absolutely adore the food because of its fragrant spices and aromatic herbs. I spent a week in Marrakech for New Year 2018 and I followed Saida, the cook, in the kitchen to observe the delicious meals she prepared.
